How Vinyl T-Shirts are Made
Once the decal has been cut from a roll of vinyl it’s removed from the machine and laid on a table for weeding. Weeding is when the excess vinyl (the negative space in your decal) is removed by hand. This can be quite a time-consuming process depending on the complexity of the design. After that the vinyl is then pressed onto a shirt with a heat press machine.

What sizes and colours are available?
We can do kids t-shirts as well as adults and ladies from Small to 3XL
Can I have a design on the sleeves on the shirts?
Yes, with HTV Vinyl we can put the design anywhere on your shirt.
How durable are Vinyl T-Shirts
With good care of the garment, the vinyl will start to “crack” and colors could “fade” after 50 washes.
When washing remember to:
- TURN INSIDE OUT
- MACHINE WASH COLD
- NO BLEACH
- NORMAL HEAT DRY
- DO NOT DRY CLEAN
- DO NOT IRON OVER VINYL (ONLY INSIDE)
- DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTNER
I want a more detailed image/photo on the T-Shirt, can you do that?
Depending on the design, if there are a lot of colors and detail, it’s best to either go with a Screen-printing method or with a DTG (Direct To Garment) printer, or laser printer with special inks.
Unfortunately we only do the HTV Vinyl method. Feel free to contact us if you would like to know if we can do your Vinyl Shirt.
