Business Card Design Brief

Business Card Design Brief

Main card design

If you need additional cards for a team, I’ll send a separate form for those once the design is approved.

For now, just focus on the main design. One card, one clear look. I’ll handle the rest later.

What Should Go on the Card?

This is the info your clients will see

Social Media (Optional)

Most business cards only show one or two social profiles, or none at all.
Only include the ones that clients would use to contact or follow you.

I recommend keeping it simple: either no social media, or just one or two links.
The more you add, the more cluttered and unprofessional the card can feel, and it limits how clean the layout can be.

Logo

Do you have a logo you'd like to use on your card?
If not, I’ll design one for you and be in touch before we begin the card layout.

Profile Photo (Optional)

Some cards include a photo, usually in industries like real estate, coaching, politics, or personal services.
If you’d like to include one, upload it below. If not, just skip this part.

A clear, well-lit photo works best. Front-facing or slightly turned to the side is perfect, just avoid heavy shadows.
Try to take it against a white or contrasting wall. I often need to remove the background, so a clean shot makes all the difference.

Colours and Style

Should I stick to your logo colors, or do you have something specific in mind?
If you're unsure, I’ll suggest something clean and professional based on your logo and industry.

Card Layout, Shape & Print Effects

This is where you choose what your card will look like.

If you want a custom die-cut shape, check with your closest print shop first to see if they offer it.
They may already have specific shapes or cutters, and they can usually send you a template I can design around.

These don’t affect the digital design much, but I’ll prep the layout so they work if needed.
If you’re not sure what these mean or whether your printer offers them, ask them, they’ll guide you or send print samples.
